Hi THERE. I’m Tomas Shannon, a session drummer & producer from Buenos Aires, Argentina. I Perform, record and mix drum tracks remotely for producers, artists and musicians all over the world

I’ve played on tracks with a combined stream count of over 40 million plays on Spotify and Youtube. I’ve also toured around Europe and South/North America (USA, Mexico, Colombia, Central America, Argentina, etc.) playing with all kinds of projects: from worship music (Athenas, Maxi Larghi) to reggaeton (Lourdes+La Factoria), from singer-songwriter (Jac VB) to dream pop (Fenna Frei) and everything in between.

I learned the ropes of high-level remote session drumming and recording from Grammy-winning, platinum-selling drummer Dylan Wissing (Kanye West, Eminem, Drake), working with him at his studio right outside of Manhattan, NYC. This not only taught me a ton about studio drumming, but also about getting the right sounds for each project, from drum selection and tuning, to microphone choice & positioning, mixing and much more.

My experiences as a recording engineer and producer have proved immensely helpful in helping me get the right sounds for every project I’m involved in. Besides live drumming, I’m a big fan of drum programming and combining electronic & live drums to create new sounds and textures. Among other great projects, this has led me to create more than a dozen sample packs with Dylan Wissing for Sounds.com, one of the world’s leading sample pack marketplaces.

How it works:

  1. We discuss the vibe and sound you want.

  2. You send your files via WeTransfer or similar. All I need is a rough mix of your song with (if you have) & without drums starting from 00.0 & the BPM.

  3. After I've done the recording, I'll email you an Mp3 of your song with my drum take. We'll then talk about any changes you may want.

  4. Once you're happy I'll send you all individual drum tracks, and a stereo drum mix if required. You can also have the stems from all my takes!
